New Player/ Constant Lag

I take 3 steps -- frozen -- 3 steps -- frozen... is there a "settings" adjustment that I need to know about? I have never used razor and it has been a long while since I've played UO. My computer is new with plenty of power... and I run vista.

Any advice?

Additionally, everyone else on screen seems to be moving at normal rates... other pc's and npc walk, run and ride along without hesitation, even though I am stuck in freeze.

help please.

I've heard of this problem but i don't know what particular steps can be taken to correct it. There are some video option in the client options suchat Allw Page Flipping that may work
Also, check the color depth of your desktop, if it's not 32 try changing it to that.

Does it run ok in FullScreen mode? (<ALT>Enter)
