UO Second Age

so in my travels I decided to buy a katana to gain swordsmanship, thus I bought a fortified katana of ruin so that it would take more hits and wouldn't do much damage so I could whack the cretins of Sosaria more. when I bought it, it fell to my backpack as a magic katana. so I said "fine, let's ID this mofo so it doesn't mix with my other extremely l33t weaponry.I gave it to my crafter toon, who identified it after like 50 tries(idiot), then I gave it back to my fighter toon. Then I noticed that it still said " a magic katana".

Now I don't want to gain skills in item id on my fighter so i locked it and tried IDing it but with 0.0 skill i guess there ain't much chance in IDing it. what should I do?

The character that id's it is the only one that sees the proper title of the item. Alternatively, you can use an item id wand/staff if you want a character with 0 item id skill to see the weapons title.

as above, also you CAN id things with 0 itemid but it can take forever.
