Derrick I read ur post about events and said lack there of time to do so...
why not had a member of staff dedicated to events, whether it'd be creating, setting up your created events, an event scripter.. anything to make them happen
I'm new so I'm not sure if this has been handled, if so feel free to delete the post or pm me about it and delete it.. I'm not sure..
But the event schedule is still posted of the daily events everyday.. and let me tell you
I just came back after 7year hiatus of not even coming close to playing again..
and seeing that ontop of being an osi99 replica (TOO BAD IT WASN'T A REPLICA OF JAN 1ST, 1999)
but got me so pumped for 1v1 tournements for us players.. ontop of other events you used to hold..
Anyone in favour, say I !

We already have a member of staff who runs events, his name is Dupre and we are somewhat fond of him, even if he is a barely functioning alcoholic.
The whole point of automated events is that they require no staff involvement, so your suggestion is completely self-contradictory.

Ya if their is no events why can't staff at least update the website where it shows that theirs is no event schedule and rank system at all so new players don't join the server thinking their is events.
