Housing
Re: Housing
no on this shard that aims to replicate era accuracy they decided to overlook one of the biggest mechanics. In other news the search button on the forum works.

Re: Housing
Thank you for the advice on the search button......
So everyone is after more players to the server but one of the main rules (1 house per account) is over looked?
why would you get new players when the server is set to make the rich richer and its near impossible to place anything but a small and some players are holding 15 houses across there accounts (thats if they only have three accounts)
This needs addressing dont you think ?

but can everyone see where I am coming from ? I have played here for 30+ days now and intend to stay but I honestly think that this issue does need addressing

Re: Housing
Heh you think it's bad on here? On LS it was really hard to even find a small spot. By the time t2a came out nearly all of the housing was took.Samorite wrote:thanks, didnt know that was the caseXandorf wrote:Actually it is. You can still get good spots you just have to fight at idocs for them. ^.^

But if the 1 house per account came out just imagine how many idoc's would pop up ?
I truly think that this would increase users to the server

Re: Housing
Imagine how many players would leave because they dont want to loose their homes?
Housing is hard to find unless you can deal with smalls but its just apart of the game and then you can always look to buy a house and just pay extra for the cost.

I plan to live forever...So far so good...

no one needs 15 houses ?Mr HoUsE HiDeR wrote:Imagine how many players would leave because they dont want to loose their homes?
there just placing and selling at inflated prices (edit): but you could still do that have one home two to sell not 1 home 14 to sell
Just makes it a fair system

Re: Housing
Yeah I agree 15 houses is pretty krazy and yeah the rich get richer but nothing can be done about that....Unless their houses fall lol

my point exactly !!Mr HoUsE HiDeR wrote:Yeah I agree 15 houses is pretty krazy and yeah the rich get richer but nothing can be done about that....Unless their houses fall lol
So if you went to 1 per account it would possibly free up 60% of spots ?

Re: Housing
and for those who do sell houses thats cool if ya wanna sell a good spot and make a few gp and peeps are happy to pay it great but the only reason there buying them now is that all the spots are taken and there's no alternativeSamorite wrote:my point exactly !!Mr HoUsE HiDeR wrote:Yeah I agree 15 houses is pretty krazy and yeah the rich get richer but nothing can be done about that....Unless their houses fall lol

Re: Housing
I don't see the problem here.
Even with users allowed five houses per account, large homes don't generally go for more than a small deed in addition to the original deed cost. If you find the means to earn 150-200k, you'll surely find the means to earn another 45k to cover the increased price. It doesn't come free, but it's not exactly an overwhelming amount of work either. Towers, keeps and castles of course sell for more, as do housing in some of the more coveted areas of the game, but as you progress in the game you're probably making money faster than in the beginning, too.
On the other hand, if we moved into what you are proposing and house spots would be available, you'd wipe the housing market to near extinction, and thus ruin another very fundamental area of the game. People wouldn't make a decision to buy a house based on the type/size, but purely on location instead. Very often people who just want to buy a "normal" house don't care whether it's the grass area of Yew or the grass area near Britain, their requirements are usually very vague, such as "no swamp area" or "mountains nearby". In addition to that, we currently have the premier locations too, which sell for more than similar houses in "normal" spots, but what you are basically proposing is removing the standard housing market from the game and limiting housing sales to only a few selected locations.
I do agree that 15 houses is much in the sense that I don't think anyone needs 14 storage houses. However, sometimes you have to look at things from a different perspective and maybe the purpose of allowing this was never in the first place about each character having their own personal house, but act as a catalyst for a new aspect of gameplay to develop and prosper.
