if i macro herding to raise my stats and turn it back down to lower it, herding will go down right? somebodys saying its stuck like this forever

Fear not, your skills will decrease if you set them to decrease. You simply need to raise another skill in place of it.

to clarify, the skill won't actually decrease until you reach the 700 skill cap (total). you can check your skill total by clicking the "show real" button on your skill scroll in UO, or you can also check it by looking at the "base total" box in the lower right corner of the skill tab in razor.

so even if you GM herding while raising str, setting the skill arrow to decrease will eventually make it drop as you continue to train/raise the skills you intend to keep. also be careful when you do hit the 700 skill cap though. if you don't have any skills set down, you won't gain in the skills you have set to raise!
