Fix boat speed?

Post by Bean »

I havent used my boat in about 7 days. I came back today to use it and notice that it has been drastically slowed down. There is now a huge delay between movements. I see no mention of this in the patch notes. I don't think I'm hallucinating :)

I haven't noticed this quite yet, but just an FYI, boats move fastest with going "forward" I believe.

Yeah they do, but there is a large delay between all movements now. Between drifts its about a full second instead of half a second.

Boat speeds were slowed down a little when we changed the refresh problem, but were reincreased yesterday in fast. The slow was going too fast for fishing which we knew was wrong, but slightly overdid it.

You should notice more smooth boat movement now.

are boats affected by wind like they were on osi? i could have swore going in a certain direction could go way slower than if the 'wind' was blowing in another direction. or at least this was advertised in early uo.

Wow, I was never aware of this posibility, but will certainly look into it. It's definately doable if the rumor is true.

I don't ever recall going faster in any given direction and, for a while, I spent quite a bit of time on boats as a pirate.

What I do know for sure is that all boats go the same speed...we chased a victim for an hour never gaining ground until he ran into another parked boat. Haha.

I love fishing/treasure hunting, I just started a few weeks ago but I can not fish in deep water because everything that can kill me I can not out run. Will the boats be speeded up or some other fix applied?
