In addition to that its just another trash talking section of the forum where people can write whatever they want.

First I have no idea who this person is... second... So because 1 person gives me 20 negatives should I go to every one of his posts he ever created and give him thumbs down for each one? Or perhaps make up a story on a few of them about how he did something bad? This forum has become so childish.... Or perhaps because someone upset me in game i should just make 1 rep slander each day for the rest of my life....

Or maybe because someone is negatively slandering my rep i should contact everyone i know and have they give me a thumbs up instead of a thumbs down to counteract the effect like he does? Not to mention that if you get your friends to post numerous thumbs up it pushes the thumbs down off your grid so people cant see them....

The point I am making is I understand the rational to having some sort of "rep" system in place..... But obviously the solution implemented is ineffective and needs to be scrapped.

At least nevermore regulated a lot of forum activity to an adult level. I cant imagine what its like as a new player to second age to come to the forums and see all this nonsense that happens here between old players/board trolls bantering between each other using the rep system. Today it seems to be that its a free for all and everyone can run a muck however they would like.

Anyhow it makes no difference to me if my rep is -1 million or +1 million I just noticed how pointlessly ineffective this system was and figured some of the smart higher ups would evaluate its effectiveness consider getting rid of it or completely re modifying and scrapping the old to have it work correctly.

Don't worry abut the haters, I have a few of those on my rep list as well. I made a vow when this came out never to give out negative karma and at the same time, to not be bothered when others give me a thumbs down. I know I am awesome so who cares about what other people think

In all seriousness though, when people select your reputation they can see all the comments and who made them. If it isn't someone reputable, chances are that their opinion won't be valued by others anyway. Keep doing what you feel like and as long as you are honest and friendly, other like-minded individuals will know you for who you truly are. This server is for your enjoyment, don't let some trolls ruin it with their juvenile nitwittedness.

Anyone else find it mildly amusing that the guy who (allegedly) scammed another guy IRL is praising a former GM who (allegedly) favored certain players by giving them items worth millions in game, and bashing a system that was put in place by the owner of the shard?

Looks like it's working just fine. For those unaware Bull has scammed people multiple times under various names (Redrum, Luna Spell, Everlynn). He has also been caught bidding his own auctions up. Refer to this post:

i love how he used 2 forum accounts to down vote me saying i "Scammed him" when i don't even do trade with about 99% of the shard due to my guild affiliation and i do private transactions most of the time also i have brokered for duels etc and held deeds and have a + trade rep DERP also like others have pointed out he left out parts of my user rep also i actually you know respond mostly to new players / secondage discussion / bug reports forum sections only and avoid the drama. also why you care so much about a little imaginary number the forums bro ?

Says the guy who religiously posts on peoples reps and has others post on his. This is exactly my point the system is completely pointless and irrelevant.

i just wish it were more user friendly. i don't even know how to check my karma. i think i did once, but it didn't make sense. 17 pages of people voting on me when really there was only 1 page. ledouche sitting on the forums all day trying to give me negative karma. had to expect it from such a loser.
