Closed: Dragons Para Field... again..

Post by XaN »

So, im bringing this up one more time for the sake of those like me who are fed up with twats getting away with "all kill" when there pets should be para'd. They walk thru, like it's just an object in the way. It's a god damned spell and if this is going to continue happening (because I solo) I refuse to even consider tamers to be a type of character. I won't even try to kill them. FIX? Please?

Sorry if you've reported this previously and I missed it, but this is the first I've heard of it. I'm on it.

There was only one other time, a long time ago. You said you would look into it, but you hadn't heard of anyone having this problem. Thats why I bring it up again.
We could have players try a bunch of times and give results here? I want to be assured that its not the spell.

I'm not seeing that dragons or any other creatures are able to avoid the effects of Para Field. Para Field is also not resistable, so I'm not sure what could have happened here. Dragons do fly, but I was unable to get a dragon to fly over the effect either.

There's been no other reports that I'm aware of, of creatures/npcs passing though para-fields. This is a serious issue if it can be confirmed, but I cannot reproduce it, I tried for a while this morning.

How close are you standing to the para field when you die? Are the dragons meleeing you or are they killing you by dragons breath?

Should dragons be able to use this ability while paralyzed? Players are unable to cast spells. Although for a dragon I believe this is more of an ability in their case than a spell. Players can use skill abilities while paralyzed.

Aye, the breath is not magic, it's more of a ranged attack like a bow. They can use it when paralysed

what is the range of there breathe? I used to kill tamers all the time, sometimes while the dragons could be seen on my screen. Was breathe used frequently during this era?

The range of the dragon's breath on the UO demo is exactly less than 10 square tiles.

The range on Second Age is also ten tiles.

I should have worded what I said better, lol. The breath on the demo was 9 tiles or less. If you were greater than 9 tiles it would not shoot a fireball at me, and it would eventually stop attacking me altogether.

I thought that tamed dragons lost their dragon's breath?

I havn't replied in a while to this thread because I was hoping to see a response to Ichi's post. Did tamed pets have dragon breathe? If they did, then I would have been making up all those times I killed tamers... that would be calling me a liar, and that's not what i'm about! not now... not ever! lol
