Magic in town

I'm new to the shard and searched the forums, couldn't find the answer. . .
Anyway, I hear there is no magic in town. Is that ALL magic? Only offensive magic? I see people macroing (I'm guessing) resist in town. They are casting flamestrike on themselves and doing hardly any damage. Is flamestrike that weak or is it a town issue, high resist, or what?
Details about magic in town would be appreciated.
Secondly, are PK guilds popular on this server? Or are the PKs randomly scattered about preying on who ever, when ever?
Player economy: Are there any good player run shops, or does everyone have their own crafting mule so that there is no real player run economy? I have yet to see a GM crafted weapon. Were crafter tags after T2A, or am I just missing things.
Are there potion kegs?
Leather/furniture dye tubs?
Horned/spined leather, or just plain?
House security: Lock downs? Secures? Co-owner lock boxes?
That's all I can think of for now. I can't remember what all was included with T2A and what popped up in UOR. Forgive me if I've mention UOR stuff.
Thank you.
Alex
