My collection of accuracy proofs / inaccuracy proofs

Post by Shizza »

To find the first of these screens i'll be posting:
google: inurl:al/durmanhoth

This first quick one is in regards to a post I saw recently viewtopic.php?f=8&t=37823
in which someone states he thinks there may have been a 2 vendor per hour limitation.

This following screenshot is from 3/1999, in which you can obviously see 3 vendors in a small house...

Inaccurate: the message when you try to drink another heal pot too soon.

Right now it tells you "You must wait a few seconds before using another healing potion."

According to this screenshot, which is dated MAX 11/99:

Ok so you are sitting on a bunch of 1999 UO pictures, and instead of giving them to everyone to look at, you first want to study them yourself while giving us tidbits that have black all over them?

Real cool bro.

You should get a job at HBO.

on a positive note, good find, I'm sure i'll enjoy your content some day?

Possible: empty bottles supposed to drop on ground after use?

I see a lot of screenshots where there are single empty bottles dropped all around the battlefield...heres one example, dated MAX 11/1999 just as the previous.

Awsome stuff shizza, nice finds.

Make sure after you have built up a nice picture for yourself and properly documented it all, you release them to the community for verification!

Nice finds.

The bottle dropping is something we had here at one time, until it was demonstrated that it was changed prior to our timeframe.

There is a host of era, pre and post as well on our ftp/download site: http://download.uosecondage.com/OsiScreenshots/

We're always looking for more.

I think I'll hold off on making any changes until i can see the full images, such as the full guildstone title format.

It looks like there is some unicode text in this screenshot. Are you sure about the dates?
You are correct about the message though, thanks:

From OSI code:

Code: Select all

    barkToHued(user, user, 0x22, "You must wait 10 seconds before using another healing potion.");

I've looked through most of them and I'm not smart enough to find any more inaccuracies so I'll post them up, probably in a separate thread, I have to step out for a bit and then ill get them collected and upload them and also post the links to where they came from. Is there a specific thread for posting screens or should I just start a new topic in here?

To get all the pages I got the screenshots from just google: inurl:al/durmanhoth
thats the best way because a lot of the links on their site are broken and scattered around various domains

What a whiny baby. I post the screenshots up, and didn't obscure anything that had anything to do with the inaccuracy I was trying to report. Furthermore, I make it plainly clear that I'll be linking to the original unobscured pictures very shortly I just wanted to go through them a bit first. But hey, if you any opportunity to piss, moan, whine, and act like a smart ass, then why bother focusing on any of the positive right? At least that's your theory anyway, why? Because you're a cry baby! :]

You're right, I can do whatever I want to with my screenshots that I myself put in the work to locate! Thank you!

You can say what you want about me, but at the end of the day you are not even giving the original author of the pictures his just due. Using the pictures without his permission, re hosting and editing them.

We work together as a team here, and if you go through my history you can find many, many many links from me to various pieces of era accuracy. Some right, some wrong, but I always showed people what I found.
