Graphics not showing up at all

Hey all,

I downloaded the UO_T2A_Era_Client_with_Patch23E7 version of UO and installed the patch. The game runs and I can create an account on this shard, but no graphics show up. What I mean is that my mouse cursor, ground tiles, players, NPCs, buildings, items in bags, etc, do not show up. Has anyone ever seen this issue and have a solution to fix it?

This is often a problem with client version.
What version does your client show on the login page?

UO Version 5.0.8.3 (Patch 204)

You should try downloading AoS era client or ML era client:

AoS: http://kec.cz/moria/UOAOS_July_03.exe

ML: ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/uo/setup-1.46.0.3.exe

Give it a try. Hope it all goes well.

I installed UO using this same method on another computer, then I copied the install UO to the problem machine and the graphics showed up....very strange.

Good to hear, thanks for the follow up. I'm as stumped as i'm sure you are. I've heard of this before, but have no idea what causes it.

I've seen this happen from custom map files before, probably due to the past shard you were playing.
