I ran around and couldn't find any hatchets for sale at vendors? I've tried weapon vendors, carpenters, tinkers, fletchers, and nothing.

Hatchets may be player crafted only. You can also use a regular axe weapon for lumberjacking though.

I knew about the other axes, I was just looking specifically hatchets because I remember them being more efficient (weight) than lugging around heavier weapons.

thanks though, I'll just grab a shovel go mine some ingots and make a few hatchets.
