Some food can be eaten while locked down, some cannot. Is there a reason its like this or is it just random?

Which foods can be eaten/not eaten?

haven't tested em all out.

Pigs can, chocolate bunnys can't, muffins can't, hams can . . .

Interesting, I'm pretty curious how this works as well. To add to it, fish steaks can be eaten while locked down, while valentine's chocolates can't be (just what I had laying around the tower). Also to note, I couldn't drink any of the assorted liquids I had while locked down (ale, eggnog, champagne, etc)

This is era accurate but not all are correct. Certain fruit baskets should be able to beaten while others not.

somthign to do with stacks of food, vs unstackable items?

All should be edible, per my recollection of '98. I remember eating pigs people had locked down and they don't stack.

From that list it sounds like it's divided by things you can buy vs things that are rare or don't spawn. You can buy pigs, muffins etc. but you can't buy Easter bunnies.
