For the love of UOSA and all its players?

So Derrick, now that you see the vote is in favor of bringing tourny's back, will you? Or is there no love for us?

Derrick has stated in the last thread about this topic that the events will likely never return 'as they were'.
Meaning basically, if or when they return, there will be many changes to how they worked, if I'm reading that correctly.

No time frame is set as it is a LOW priority.

Hablu, I was at that tourny and it was garbage. The waiting time was forever, on top of that, while waiting I had Icculus and a few others try to kill me. ON TOP OF THAT, when I left the arena, they did kill me, and while I was mountless. These player run events don't work nearly the same as the scripted events from the past which were timely and cordinated.

i just joined the shard a few days ago and i would like to see some events.

Sorry, but I find this hilarious/awesome. Felucca at its finest; the way it was. Everything in this game should have a risk associated with it. To me, this game isn't about being "timely and coordinated", it's supposed to be a chaotic whirlwind of craziness going on when it comes time to do battle.
I used to be skeptical about events, but after I tried them out, I ended up enjoying the CTF, double domination, & survival events (bag ball too of course). Duelling events not so much...I'm not the best PvPer by any stretch of the imagination, and I don't really like being stuck in a cage. More importantly, duels can easily be done in Fel, unlike the other events I mentioned, although Rose's Capture The Capital and other similar events do a pretty good job. However, without the events, the shard population has remained pretty much where it always has since I've started here, and people are actually PLAYING the game. I see no reason to bring back Trammel.
PS. I would like to see some more era-accurate events, like town invasions, etc. but I understand that takes a lot of staff effort and involvement, and they are very busy volunteers.

I'm for not having automated events- if it's all player run that makes the events more original and you still have the feel of t2a uo- ppl will be douches and feelings will be crushed. I for one will gladly rage log along with anyone else after a poor turn of events let us rejoice and alt+f4 together!

The first month I played UO I had a guy tell me that hitting alt+f4 would do something really cool,cant remember what.....
I had to use that myself after that on newbies....
