I am new to this server, although i played Second Age long ago. Just have a few questions i hope someone to kindly answer:


--are we allowed 5 houses per character like the old days? That would be so cool!!

--the moongates are the old style? Or is there a list of towns?

--is second age the time archery was nerfed? Or before this time?

--is there a way to use the UO Assist? im finding it hard to learn the one that comes with the game. And is thee directions how to use the second age macro program?

--most profitable vender for second age? leather armour, potions, or metal armour/weapons?

--are there many player run towns?

Old style yes, however some event gates have the menu's.

--is second age the time archery was nerfed? Or before this time?
Its not really nerfed but no point in using it seeing as everyone has mounts.

there are a few but most have little to no activity.

The moongates are not exactly old style, though they do not have the menus. During t2a, where the moongates would lead depended on what phases the moons were in. Right now you can just cycle through each moongate in a cyclical pattern.

Archery is somewhat nerfed here in that there is a one second damage delay from when you fire to when the damage is dealt, which makes it useless when trying to disrupt a spell. It does good damage however and the swing timer advances while moving, whereas with melee weapons the player must stand still to advance the swing timer.

Leather armor is not very profitable (slows meditation mana regeneration rate), but both potions and blacksmithed goods make very good money. You could probably make some money with leather, but definitely a lot more with blacksmithing or alchemy.

There are player run towns, yes. The Wolfpack and Shadowmire are two that come to mind.

Thanks so much for all the information! I'm hoping to join a player city or guild soon. Love to play shop keeper especially, and other roles like Soldier, or Guard.

Making the gold is a bit slow so far...and is hard to find many player vendors?

I've checked the moongates, and only one empty vendor to be seen. Or am i blind? Is there a big vendor house somewhere in this world ?

So far i am just looking for scrolls, blank rune books, and full runebooks.

The road just across the bridge North of Vesper has a whole bunch of vendors. Also, the beach next to Magincia has some vendors. There are a couple vendors North of Moonglow too, I know they used to sell full spellbooks for like 4k there. You should be able to find vendors scattered around if you look. There is an inscription vendor around the Britain moongate somewhere I think.
