Hey all,

Currently grinding up a mage bard. Question is this.

Is 100 resist/wrestle better than 100 hiding/50 resist/50 wrestle?

Just trying to see if I really need hiding.

Hiding is not really needed. It's nice, but invis will work wonders, and wrestling will get your ass out of many tough situations. IF you are hellbent on hiding, go 100 hiding/100 wrestling/0 resist

Go with the house...you don't need to GM resist...anything over 90 resist is good

...and since you're not entering tournys and such with your bard, you can take your time to GM it, 90 will help you wnough out in the field

Personally I would drop wrestling and go for resist and hiding. I find hiding really helpfully, I also dont get invovled in alot of meele I just run my ass off and cast rather than sit and cast. If your not an AFK player at all hidng becomes less helpful. I like to hide and wait or provo invise hide. It really all depends on your playing style

Mm maybe I'll try it with the 100 hiding/50/50.

Wrestling is more than for PvP....you sometimes get pinned down by monsters, and need a teleport out...good luck getting it off with 50 wrestling.

Dude peacemaking has saved my ass way more than hiding or wrestling put together. It is the only skill that guarantees that the 4 things beating you will stop when you are cornered with no food or red pots. I also love the look on a PK when he's about to hit me with his hally and I peace him just to recall right in his face without getting touched.

Seriously though, peacemaking does not get the love it deserves on this shard!

I pretty much feel the same way Pirul does.

I had considered taking Hiding on my Bard, but got Resist to about 95 & GM'd wrestling. They will both save your life a lot more than hiding from my experience. I usually cast invisibility if i am going to wait around for monsters to kill each other. Also with 95 resist I feel like i resist well enough that i haven't bothered to take the time & money to GM it. I don't feel it is needed.

I think Wrestle/Resist will help you escape PKs much better than hiding as well. Again, this is just my experience playing my bard. I don't think 50 resist will help much, so if are set on Hiding, get GM wrestle.

Also, Evaluate Intelligence is great for taking out monsters quick. I almost got Hiding instead & I'm glad i didn't.
