Ok I am still having trouble making money to get my mage going. I have GM mining, however I worked on smith for a while so I only have 2k ingots left. Which would be faster money, Mining or lumber? I tried making scrolls likes somebody had said but that was VERY slow money. I am open to all ideas because I am really bored to death.

Sell your ingots instead of trying to smith stuff...
1k ingots goes for 7000 gold minimum.

Selling ingots is great, but selling made wares to vendors is also another way. The Gold is not as great as selling to players, but youll gain in say smithing. Also break it up by starting a provoker.

I started yesterday morning and I have 5k or so sitting in the bank after gearing up my warrior. I am working my provoker and smith while I am going out and killing stuff. I also have a crap ton of iron ingots and resources I have gathered to sell to vendors. Go out and kill birds, 25 feathers a pop. Go to a vendor and sell the feathers for 1gp ea. Kill sheep and turn the wool into cloth sell the cloth.
If your bored I say make a fighter to kill stuff and have some fun.

there are 3 cotton farms I know of - I recall to each (if no one has picked them yet) , thread up the cotton on spools and use Razors's Sell agent , Sell at each areas nearby town at the tailor (because vendoring thread depreciates from town to town -50g,45g,40, etc)
I'm just messing around and make 2k a matter of minutes. once every 30 mins. Im also provoking and working on skills ($magery$) ,.... visit houses you come accross for ''gifts", I banked 2k boards, 15 runebooks, 45 recalls, 20 gates, even gold that wasn't locked down from abandoned houses...

Cotton Farms...
2 in Moonglow
1 in Cove
1 near Skara
1 in Delucia
That's all I'm willing to expose
Sheep can be found at Jhelom farms, Skara Stables, Yew Forest
A full loop can usually yield 1200-2500 cloth
