New Windmere Anniversary Events

Hail Citizens of Britiana! Company of the Vigilant is pleased to announce a week long series of events in celebration of our one year anniversary of New Windmere!

Events will be held from February 27th (Monday) through March 4th (Sunday) @ 11 pm Eastern time (Server time).

The Events will be held at the C^V events center and the adjoining twin towers, on the south vesper beach, withing sight of the inn.



These events are being held out of guard zone, and as such you are subject to die. Bring only items you are prepared to loose. Certain events WILL require you to come in dead, so please take the necessary precautions.

Our tentative schedule of events, rules and prizes looks as follows:

Preview;
Monday: 1 v 1 tourney - Russian Roulette
Tuesday: CTF - Tamer duels, small critters
Wednesday: 4 v 4 tourney - Bare Knuckle Boxing
Thursday: Archery Duels - Mage Poker
Friday: Dexxer Tourney - Smith-off
Saturday: 2v2 and - Tamer duels Big Game!!
Sunday: Last Man Standing - Table Drop Event

Full Schedule;

Monday;
Mages 1 v 1 tourney;
Rules; GM items and Red Pots only. Mages only. Sudden Death after 5 minutes (no healing).
Prize; 2 Point Trophy for the winner.

Russian Roulette;
Rules; No detect hidden, characters must be public to confirm this. Be prepared to die.
Prize; Greater Explosion Keg, Greater Heal keg, and Total Refresh Keg.

Tuesday;
CTF;
Rules; GM items only, not pets or summons. Limited to the first 16 who show up.
Prizes; survival kits for winning team.

Tamer duels, small critters;
Rules; Dogs bought from the stables will be used. No Vet. No buff spells, and no casting in general while the critters are fighting.
Prize; Frenzied ostard, 200 ribs, & 1K bandages for the winner

Wednesday;
4 v 4 Tourney;
Rules; GM items only, not pets or summons.
Prizes; 1 point trophy per member of the winning team.

Bare Knuckle Boxing;
Rules; No Armor, No healing or Pots. Food will be provided. No Magic.
Prize; Leather gloves renamed for the winner

Thursday;
Archery Duels;
Rules; No Magic, No Healing, No Potions, Food will be provided. Bows will be provided. GM Armor only.
Prize; Rare arrows for the winner

Mage Poker;
Rules; Everyone tries to match the 2 chosen summoned creatures, first one to do so wins.
Prize; Ask and Answer Ball for the winner

Friday;
Dexxer Tourney;
Rules; GM items only. No Magic. Red Pots only. Sudden Death after 5 minutes (no healing) All gear will be provided, Must come prepared to die to get into the arena, you will be given GM gear, 10 red pots, and 10 bandages. It is up to you to manage bandages and pots.
Prizes; Invul Dexxer suit, magic wep of choice (vanq) for the winner.

Smith-Off;
Rules; All materials provided. Whomever can complete a full set of plate armor with all GM parts first wins.
Prize; Renamed indestructible shovel for the winner

Saturday;
2v2 Tourney;
Rules; GM items only, not pets or summons.
Prizes; 1point trophies for the winning members of each team.

Tamer Duels Big Game;
Rules;Nightmares, Dragons, & Wryms. No Vet. No spells.
Prize; Nightmare for the winner.

Sunday;
Last Man Standing;
Rules; GM items only, not pets or summons.
Prize; 2 point trophy for the winner.

Table Drop Event;
Rules; This event will be like Blackfoot's see; viewtopic.php?f=45&t=28404
Prizes; 4 Light Furs.

First day of events has concluded, and I think it was a good experience for all. I'd like to thank all the participants who came, I hope you enjoyed. Also, thanks to some people who donated for these events, we'll be using those donations for more prizes, and more events!!

And after a crazy combo/series of big hits, our winner was declared victorious:

All the fights were very entertaining, and I don't think there was 1 gimme in the group. Everyone had to put some effort to move forward in the tourny.

....and THEN the silly part of the night started...

Russian Roullete was a blast (bad pun intended )!! The alchohol was flowing, the spirits where high, and people got blown up!!
