Regarding fighting a hireling for weapon skill--

Is there a way to safely perform this macro without a house? (Have the money, but the free land is a problem.) I've read that one can engage them in combat and then run off screen and return, still fight them, and have them not fight back and remain blue to everyone else. The fact that they're blue makes me wonder if it might be possible to macro wrestling in town (once the initial engagement has expired)---is this the case, or am I going to need a house to do this safely?
Thanks!

Hell, there's free housing everywhere!!
Look for Brules on IRC and he'll hook you up.

You don't say? I've not seen any anywhere. Then I guess I don't have runebooks to blink around and survey the world. Should I just be sailing to obscure ass corners of Britannia and finding little islands, or are there enough spots in better-trafficked areas? Any suggestions?

Also, no one gave a definitive answer on this---I'm assuming I'll get killed by the guards for practicing this in town, no?

currently you can do this, but as soon as the npc dies, you go grey and guardwhacked.

Thanks, guys. Managed to find a spot and place a house. Will be doing this as soon as I'm done macroing magery / resist.

You mean I can just fight with my tamed horse without it fighting back, and bandage it as I go, and I'll gain in wrestling just as fast as fighting a hireling?
Appreciate the feedback!

Alternatively, you can gm wrestling by punching people who use bad puns on internet forums.

Use a horse...does that mean to fight your horse?
Tell your NPC to guard you and he becomes Grey TO YOU. You can attack him but even spamming all stop I can not get him to not whack me back without someone casting invisibility on me. And then the only way to get him to stay put is to back him into a corner from what I've seen...maybe spamming all stop or all stay might work.

Healing horse = vet?
I thought you were playing on the words house and horse. Perhaps even poopy puns are giving you too much credit?
