Second Age/Divinity

Old school Chessie player from '97+
I started up on Divinity, got a 7x mage and a 7x dexxer finished. Almost finished my thief... got my crafts going... bought a small brick... then came to the realization that the shard was almost dead. I could macro in my house for hours, on a normally very trafficked spot, without someone meteor swarming me to death.
What fun is that!?!?!?
Not that there weren't -some- people on. There was just little interaction within the community.
The guys running the shard were absent. Div felt abandoned with Hybrid (ICK) being the main focus.
In general, felt the community was very juvenile and lacked... something... I can't really explain it well but:
...Probably best explained as a sort of "brotherhood" between players. Yes we compete, yes we pvp, yes we fight, yes we gank, but all in good fun and for the greater experience of all.
That is the only way I see t2a working out with 300-400 players at peak. And Div, while hitting some of those marks when I first played, does not seem to be that strong nowadays.
To sum this up... do you guys interact with each other in game often? Does the community feel strong, responsive, and willing to compete with/against you. Do crafters actually sell goods and are thieves trying to lighten your purse everywhere. Is this, though scaled down obviously, close to the T2A world I miss so much?
I apologize for the length of my post but before working up a few more 7x gm characters I really am interested in the input from all of you, the community!
Thank you all in advance!

You sound like a true spot since you were disappointed that you didn't get house killed. You'll like it here.

You can't really compare Divinity to here, this IS T2A.
Welcome home!
Although you'll probably find making a 7x a bit more lengthy here, it's well worth it.

As it should be!
Thanks guys just the quick response in itself shows me a lot about this place. Hope to see you all soon.

Staff is great here, thou there are only a few staff members, there very professional. Derrik is shard owner and when you page he answers right away, if he took to long he says sorry, and he keeps it real. What i mean by that is he treats you as he would want to be treated. He says hey whats up! hows it going how can i help ya ? I like his attitude unlike divinity's where they act like there king shit and you owe them something when they come help. Every free server needs to realize, we the people that keep it running, respect us, help us, fear us, without us it be nothing but that, a free server. Uosecondage is more then a free server, it has an economy, it has a playerbase, it has staff. Welcome to uosecondage, the best free server there is, period.

Definately easy to build grudges and vendettas here against pk's and thieves. There are plenty of both in almost every popular area dungeon/town.

Let me start off by saying how sorry i feel for you for grinding to get money, characters and a house on a shard that is complete horse shit. It was good about a year ago, but the RUNUO team are a bunch of idiots and have ruined that shard.
I played Chessy, Lake superior 99-03, tons of free shards, ipy, metro, hybrid, divinity and let me tell you , this blows the free shards out of the water.
never have i ran into so many people in the middle of nowhere. I can go running around random forests or somewhere I would never expect to see someone and someone will run by hunting with a friend or what not.
The great thing is there is tons of interaction and tons of people wanting to group and make new friends - the old UO is back on this shard.
This is a REAL t2a shard right down to the button, all of those others that claim they are pale in comparison. There are quite a bit of thieves at brit bank and so forth, but just watch your things. There are mounts. Magery damage does not work in town against people or yourself. Crafting takes quite awhile to GM in and a lot of money in order to be successful at.. but since the economy isin't completely screwed like hybrid and divinity with the "pay 55 for 100k name change deed" - so it is stable and i love the fact that it is.
Nobody has millions of gold (for the most part)
The playerbase/community is awesome. I would say for every 15 players there is 1 asshole. Opposed to IPY/DIV/Hybrid where the ratio was more like 1:3.
Players actually play here- even when 0x gm (imagine that), not macro their entire gamelife in a house.

First i wanna say thank you, and that it's nice seeing people taking great interest.
Its very simple.
The word everyone is looking for to describe UOSA is "Mature". We don't have all the exploiters, cheaters, griefers, scammers, scripters, krios clienters, corrupters, bottom of the barrel play to screw your day type players., which IPY basically got famed with (exactly why they shut down). Then all the players went to div/hyb.
We are legit.
Welcome, and bring your friends!

monoxide, if you need a small house to macro/get meteor swarmed in, PM me in IRC, I have a few unused ones laying around.
