Here's a way to get donations without giving away in game items: Charge $5 to change someone else's forum avatar. The SomethingAwful forums seem to have a lot of this going on. Well, maybe this would work, maybe it wouldn't. Just a thought.

Well, I haven't driven anyone away from this shard in at least month. But one day, I will return and mete out pain and annoyance--mostly annoyance.

Agreed. And this could still be done and just grandfather the cry babies in. Also, it should be 5 a month per extra account, up to 3. Might as well make it more like the true T2A experience.

If
- All of the money is going toward server costs.
- All money is considered donations.
- The first account is free.
- Extra accounts are a 'gift' for donating.

then its not illegal. They don't have to pay to play. They don't buy extra accounts, they get it as a thank you. Etc.

I think donating to get anything extra is a dangerous slippery slope that should be avoided if possible. Just donate because you like the server like some of us have done already. I've donated on multiple occasions simply because I like it here but if they start making it so you had to donate to get something special I probably wouldn't donate again because I hate servers and games that do that.

It's only illegal if you charge for extra accounts. It isn't illegal if you charge for network access.

I would donate $50+ for more than 3 accounts.

$10 more per account. I would LOVE to see this happen, don't even grandfather the crybabies, give them their choice of characters and then their other accounts are on lockdown until they fess up the money, that's era accuracy!!

It would do this shard a whole lot of good! Everyone would finally play their own roles, no shitty retard thieves running around that just macroed it up for fun etc.... ahhh

My thoughts exactly. And unlike in game rewards like many servers do (which are lame) this one is completely era accurate. Everyone in T2A didn't get extra accounts...only people who could afford the extra bill (and thought it was worth the cost) did.

i think single accounts are era accurate, right now people are scouting with ghosts and planning out raids, which frankly imo takes out some of the fun of the game, but thats just me.

I wouldn't claim restriction to a single account as era accurate. During T2A my roomate and I had 4 paid accounts all logged in simultaneous with one IP.... Three people played an account, and I had an extra account I kept macroing.

I would be more than happy to have my best characters moved to 1 acct and have the other 2 accts deleted.

I enjoy playing 1 client, my other client is usually up running a gatebot, or a healbot (for friends/newbies sparring NPC guards)
