Just got hosed by "Sexy Smithy's Second Chance Vendor"

So... I joined a couple weeks ago. Played the original UO so was looking forward to the nostalgia. Found a vendor right near the Brit moongate, "Sexy Smity's Second Chance Vendor". Had a vendor with full spell books advertised for $4000, which is a lot to a new player, so I bust my ass and finally get the $4000 and go buy a spell book and it shows up in my inventory... with ZERO spells.... nice... I don't mind getting killed and looted, but with no way to inspect a spellbook it sucks to get taken to the cleaners like this.

Use the Item ID skill to verify how many spells are in the book next time.

Edit: If you can reach me in IRC sometime in the next 30 mins, I will give you a free full spellbook. My IRC handle is Rose.

Thanks for the advice, and the offer... I don't have IRC but my char is Arsene Lupin, he's hanging out at the brit bank, sobbing .

At the very top left of this page (and all forums pages) is 6 bullet point quick links to navigate the site quickly. One of those 6 links is an IRC window, simply click that and enter a name for yourself and your in a windowed IRC.

Just to note: this is a scam vendor, using the name of a respected brand. This is not a Second Chance store, and this is not run by Sexy Smithy.
