Put all your crap in a locked down chest, unlock it, then secure it.
This method will allow you to secure unlimited amounts of weight, but is still limited to 125 items.
Easy.

It always says the container is too heavy when I do that.

It used to work.... I haven't done it in months.
Maybe this TG chest is pre-patch.
