dexxer template

so i've broken down and im gonna have more than one character :)

i was thinking of making a dexxer but i can't find any dexxer templates on the wiki or searching the forums

What kind of dexxer do you want to run?

Macing?
Swords?
Fencing?

Obviously A won't be using poison.

So Anatomy/Tactics/Combat Skill/Healing are a must

Resist is a must...

Magery is pointless not to have

Guess you could do wrestle for effectiveness, or parrying/poisoning.

just made the character and started with 50 healing 50 resist

as far as weapon choice im not sure yet...whatever is best for pvp

There really is no "best for pvp"

Most people would suggest either going with Swords or Mace Fighting I think. I personally like both.

I'd suggest going with:

100 Melee
100 Tactics
100 Healing
100 Anatomy
100 Resist
100 Magery (I put 100 magery on any 'serious character')
100 _______

The last skill could be...

- Parrying
- Archery
- Meditation
- Eval
- Hiding

Obviously those aren't your only choices, just a few that ring a bell. All of them are very solid if you know how to play them (Mace-Eval warriors are sick)

Its important you figure out what you want your stats to be first...

That will help in picking your last or last 2 skills.

100-100-25 and there is no need for med or EI as your magery is really only there for 2 GH's and a cure... and to recall around

once you start moving towards 100-85-40 or 100-75-50 more doors open up.

It really depends how you want to play.

Archery makes a very intersting 7th skill for a pure dexer..

Because your magery skill affects your ability to do these things.

Gheal with 60 magery will heal half of what you get with 100. I assume that cure potency is also affected by magery, but am truthfully not sure.

If you plan on PvPing it is impossible to be successful without magery. You combine healing with magery for a quick heal to counter a dump or a bandage heal with a timed cure spell for the poison.

It isn't impossible. It's just extremely difficult, and takes quite a bit of skill to do.

in a field fight you can just chug mad pots constantly so no worries, but in a tournament format add magery and you can dominate or leave it out and die quickly

Magery doesnt really cost that much to gm here... 40-60K

I know that sounds like alot but once i got on my feet its no problem grinding that out...

With 3 accounts i could start macroing a mage and at the same time play another char to get the gold and buy regs.

I think im about to gm my 5th mage in about 2 months which is crazy considering in years on OSI I only ever had 2!

(maybe he will be gm by the time i get home from work!!!) Hoepfully!
