Extract posion from keg then apply, but it wont apply

Ok i want to take posion out of a keg, then use the skill "posioning" then i will click on my posion potion then click on my dagger. But my problem is it wont apply at all. I have been getting messages saying to far away. And yes i have changed the absolute target to target by type (The posion potions and the weapon)

heres what my macro looks like right now:

Double Click (Posion keg)
Use Skill Posioning
Wait For Target
Target by type green potion
Wait for target
Target by type dagger
Pause 6.00 sec


If you could get this macro to work for me it would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like your macro is trying to target a dagger that is too far away.
Try retargetting it, and keeping it as absolute target on the dagger.

yeah if your trying to gain skill by poisoning the dagger, just use absolute target.. target by type is only useful if your trying to poison say: an entire bag of katanas/kryss's or something like that.. in which case you'd want to remove ALL of the item your attempting to poison from your direct vicinity.

Make sure you dont have any green potions in near by bags.

The target by type will try and target anything even close to you.

I constantly have trouble getting target by type to work on scrolls, regs and even inggots/wood if i dont work in the back right room of my forge with nothin in it except what im using.

And as others have said make sure the dagger is an absolute target,

With regard to the actual green potion itself: You might want to check the surrounding houses in the area (if there are any around you) to see if there are any green potions locked down inside those houses. I have seen macros attempt to use potions nearly a screen away from you, inside another person's house. If that's the case, finding a secluded area to perform your macroing would be in your best interests. This is all in addition to making sure you don't have any bags open that you can't reach the contents of that also has a green potion inside of it.
