Riding mares and the new (possible) changes

Post by Alex the Artist »

Given the rumors of tame animal riding changes coming, I have some questions.

Just curious what the minimum taming/lore would be to ride a mare.

Right now, can a zero taming character tame an animal that has gone wild?

Just want my mare riding characters to be prepared for the changes.

Thank you.

I don't know what changes you are refering to but yes..currently, 0 taming can tame a pet, feed it to make it happy, and mount/ride it. As long as you don't try to order it (all follow, all kill, etc), it'll never buck you off.

Currently, can you transfer a nightmare back and forth between two characters with 0 taming and 0 animal lore each?

And does anyone know if this is planned to change in the future?

I am trying to figure out if I should already nowb go ahead and already buy a nightmare for my evil mage character.

i vote that friends list be cleared when this goes live. The mechanics of mounts has a huge effect the grandfathering of certain peoples mounts will be epic lame. a heads up should be given then oh well the list is cleared.

i'd like to see mounts like that limited to people who can actually tame them, if that's the way it was.

it's kind of a last resort cheap shot as is. can throw a powerful mob onto any character for a last chance upon death.
always hated summoner/pet classes in games. people who don't take those skills shouldn't get the perks.

I agree. There was a big thread discussing this but I don't remember the specifics. But there certainly weren't so many mares/frenzied during T2A.
