This isn't really meant as a rant, just an observation. In the typical monday night urkball...i mean urk fort fight...we had a good number of orcs on fighting at the fort, then the graveyadr, then back to the fort. Nice group of humans battling us.
Then comes the announcement...
2v2 Tournament in X minutes!
Pretty much all of our opponents left at once leaving most of us standing around wondering wtf. Until someone pointed it out in guild chat that there was an event. Half the orcs logged, a few of us decided to try the event out (yawn). Kinda killed the night.
My suggestion is to tie events to urk population. If there are more than 10 urks on, all trammel events should be disabled :-p Lol

Yeah, you didn't know, the best time to hunt solo is based on the Trammevent Schedule.

I can understand the gripes about people being pulled from the field for events, but most of that can be solved with a little bit of planning - as the events and times are listed a week in advance. I look forward to and enjoy the events, but that's just my opinion.
Personally, my only gripe about the events (mainly the 1v1 tournaments) is the unbalance of silver being issued. Maybe winning 2 or 3 rounds deserves a silver, or defeating someone who has a much higher tournament ranking then you... let's face it - in general the same people win - and hats off to them!... I'm in no way complaining about that or trying to take anything at all away from them. I just feel there could be a way to even out the silver being won (I mean after all, you can get a silver for doing nothing in CTF)
Cheers!,

Nah. This is one of many. But Fedes post is specifically talking about people interfering with the physical gates. Any other discussion in fedes thread is considered off topic and not allowed.ehafh wrote:viewtopic.php?f=11&t=31607

Also, again, this is not meant as a discussion about removing events. Merely a post to state what I actually saw in game. ANd it is a good point that we could all look at the event schedule and plan our game play around it. The problem with that is that, at least in the orcs case, we do not plan to all be online at a given time...it just tends to happen.
All in all though, it provided a good stopping point for us. Otherwise, most of us woulda probably be roaming around for many more hours and would have ended up staying up way to late.
