I didn't go through the gate; I learned not to do that back in my Siege Perilous days.

What is the use of having event gates if ppl are just gonna cast their own gates over them from marked runes?
All I am saying is the event gate should override the player gate not vice versa. Seeing as how it is a gate put there by a game master for a specific purpose.

what you are asking for is change to a era accurate mechanic its bad enough people can use these gates to escape thiefs and oranges and run to trammel

Double click on the red gate instead of walking on to it.
Otherwise, if you are really concerned and upset, make a Razor macro "double click by type a red moongate."

I'm not upset nor do I personayly give a rats a%$. I have never participated in an event because the times I did ppl kept putting stone walls in front of the sign in sheet so I was like &^%$ this $%^&.
I was thinking along the lines of new ppl since there are so many new players. Imagine being a new player and thinking "oh cool an event gate."
Only to walk in and die to some trap. New peson thinks to themself "what kind of event was that?"
Also, I tried to dispel it for ppl and it wouldn't dispel the blue gate because the red one is behind it I guess.
So for some reason it would not register the dispel spell on the blue gate, yet ppl could go through it.

There should be no event gates anyway. I say remove them and let the people walk there during even time if they wish to participate.

If you are upset then make a macro "use by type an open book" then use it at the event.

Make a macro "target by type a blue moongate" and use it after you cast dispel.
