The UO Lottery!!

THE UO LOTTERY

Image

Introduction
The UO Lottery is a fun new way to gamble! The drawing will be held every Friday and the prize pool will be distributed to the winners as soon as they are available to collect it. Prize pools will increase weekly if prizes are not claimed and/or the winning numbers were not purchased! There are 100 numbers that can be purchased and each number costs 3,000 gold for a total potential prize pool of 300k every week!!

IMPORTANT: This is a not-for-profit event. 100% of ticket sales go towards the prize pool and paying the vendor to stay alive!

The Rules

1. The drawing will be held every Friday around 5pm EST.

2. 4 numbers will be drawn

3. 1st prize is 30% of the prize pool, 2nd prize is 20% of the prize pool, 3rd prize is 15% of the prize pool, 4th prize is 10% of the prize pool.

4. All winning numbers will be posted via the forum every Friday. Prizes must be claimed via a PM. Please PM your book number and security code.

5. Every book is numbered, so that you can pick your lucky number, and each number has a unique code for security.

6. The UO Lotto is not responsible for lost or stolen prize books. Please make sure to keep your prize book safe until the drawing and remember not to change the security code inside as it will make your book invalid.

7. The prize pool will be updated every chance possible and will sit on the floor behind the vendor for all to see!

Q: How will numbers be picked?

A: I will be making an RPV of the drawing and post it here each friday so that all can see that it is 100% legit. I will place 100 books on a character that are labeled 1 - 100. My thief will random steal from that player and those 4 stolen books will be the winning numbers.

The first drawing will be held Friday August 26th!

Coming soon: SCRATHERS!

Winning Numbers

Friday 8/26/2011 - TBD

I have also added 60k to the prize pool out of my own pocket to get it started.

So the very first drawing has a potential to be 360k!!

Is it possible no one wins?
How do you pick the winner exactly?
Can people tie?
I demand an example drawing!

Yes it is possible that no one wins, but then the prize pool will be carried over to the next weeks drawing.

There is no tie as each book is numbered 1 - 100 and only one number is picked to win each place.

The first book stolen is 1st place and so on...

Fill a bag with 100 books, all by the same person. The text in each book is 1 - 100. Have a thief do 4 random steals on the bag of books.

Do you have to get all 4 numbers, or what? (for first prize)

What happens if the first place runner gets only 2 numbers, will the total pot be awarded?

First place goes to the person who has the ticket number that matches the first book drawn. Second place goes to the person that has the second book drawn and so on. If nobody purchased that ticket number then nobody wins that prize and that amount is added to the next weeks lotto prize pool.

You should have any of the lottery participants who want to verify the RPV's authenticity be present at the drawing and in the RPV. That way, they can't claim it was pre-recorded, etc. If they are going to question the validity of the drawing, they can be present at the drawing and in the video.

I will use the tournament clock as a time stamp for the drawing.
