Anyone notice some extra lag recently?

Things were working fine in the beginning but me and another friend have both noticed recently that there has been unbearable lag issues. I'll be running form a PK or just trying to avoid some dragons in destard and lock up for a good 15 seconds and end up dead or with no almost no health left at all. its gotten so bad that the friend has stated:

xxxxxxx: i cannotttt take this lag anymore

xxxxxxx: i dont even wanna be on with it

just wondering if anyone else has noticed this recently? or maybe some suggestions? im using this client http://forum.uosecondage.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1456 and im patched to 5.0.8.3.

I don't know i just wouldn't expect UO to be running worse than WoW does on this computer.
