Looking for a gaming experience like T2A that will stay.
Looking for a gaming experience like T2A that will stay.
I quit UO EA servers in 2001-2002 for good because the game was heading in a direction I did not like, what I'm looking for is a shard that has the T2A rule set and will be around for awhile.

Then you have come to the right place.

^That.
I quit OSI in 2001 and this place is so right for the UO I remember (with admittedly a few inaccuracies but the admins are working on it

[14:17] <UOSAPlayer4056> cr3w guild is a joke. Ran by staff members, multi client pking, this shards a joke and a half.

All of the above...most of us quit OSI and come here for the same reasons. Thank God for the T2A era and those responsible for preserving it for all of us to enjoy.

Re: Looking for a gaming experience like T2A that will stay.
Though I must point out, most of us didn't quit OSI TO come here...we quit OSI then found this place
I always get a kick outta the neon trammies on this one forum talking about how OSI should shut down all free shards cause its taking away from their business. They are as clueless as obama, heh.
UOSA has been around and stable for a while now. I doubt its going anywhere so its a good place to hop in and get started. And best of all? The Bloodrock Orcs are here

I tried for a few minutes to figure out how to word it better. You are correct. I found UOSA long after I quit OSI.Ronk wrote:Though I must point out, most of us didn't quit OSI TO come here...we quit OSI then found this place

Awesome! I've missed this game for quite some time, I spent the last few years playing WoW but there are things I miss a lot like UO's crafting and taming system. Are these systems working well?
Re: Looking for a gaming experience like T2A that will stay.
Both are overall. Taming is a little out of wack due a combo of things. Overall its era accurate, its just a matter of there being far too many tamed animals (fast spawns) and not enough stable space. So you'll get one tamer with 80 White Wyrms in a stable and another who can't stable his horse.Maehix wrote:Awesome! Craft, as far as I know, is solid.
Dexxing is being, uh, worked on.

been here since 08 and gotta say this shard is stable. members vary through the year, largely depending on when school is out (college usually), but tend to grow in general.
We take everything about T2A, good and bad. No trammel, but you have to cut your bandaids 1 by 1.
there are trammelments on a regular basis, which is either a good or bad thing in your eyes. at the very worst, some of the community disappears for an hour or 2 to watch sandro win pvp.
welcome to the shard, look up $$$ in the forums if you're in need of a noob house to macro safely in.

Re: Looking for a gaming experience like T2A that will stay.
To try to sum it up in a non-biased way...melee doesn't 'feel right' to many people on this shard. There is currently a big debate as to whether or not T2A had attacking on the run. Currently in T2A, if a person is walking away from you then you can never really hit them with a melee weapon.Maehix wrote:So melee is broken?
So, obviously, trying to stick to a hally mage to score enough damage to kill them is nearly impossible without decking out in hundreds of thousands of gold in gear. Many people remember T2A being a place where a dexxer could grab a GM weapon and cause a mage to cry that he was a no-skill dex monkey. There is a big thread about it in the era accuracy forum. However, id still give the shard a try and trust it'll eventually be worked out.
Re: Looking for a gaming experience like T2A that will stay.
So mage would be the best way to go?
