UO Second Age

There were 2 cheaters during the survival game in which I was attending. One by the name of A bigs tinker, and the other by the name of Stranger Danger. I have a screenshot of bigs tinker, and Sior from C^V has a screenshot of Stranger Danger cheating. I expect Nevermore to move forward by punishing these individuals for participating in cheating. Since I came in second to a cheater, I expect the 4 silver coins to be returned to me, or if he sold the silver coins, I expect 40k in gold, reasonable fair market value for the 4 silver, to be put in my characters bank.

I hope this gets resolved to your satisfaction.

Did that last week, both in forums and IRC.

Paged in game and PMed on IRC today.

If there is no way to police the event, either remove the rule or remove the event.

In my opinion, cheaters should simply have their banks and all houses on all characters of all three accounts wiped. In addition, cheaters should be added to a list so the staff can check in on them occasionally.

Then again, ive always been harsh against cheaters because I am one of those people who always plays by the rules and effectively gets punished for it. Housing crash anyone? lol

is this where i post to cry about the ctf games when people got banned for giving the other team points using a afker to run down to farm for points to seal the deal,causing a even game by like give or take 3-4 points to be come become landslide victory in the last 3m? despite the fact we were holding our own with them having a 2 man advantage due to the 2 people afking in our spawn (which were busy playing on the other team). we lost "i demand silver" nah actually my point is if the events cant be policed by staff online when they start automatically they should not start, or if people are caught cheating they lose the right to play in all events for oh say 6 months or account wipe of all silver rewards or even better just remove the dumb events that everyone trys to find a loophole/way to cheat. All these events do every time they start take people out of dungeons the field etc. Time and time again i have been fighting out in the field with numbers go fights going on the 1v1 tourny gates open and no one is to be found not even all the people i saw went and signed up because i went and glanced to 'watch' or damn i am so bored i just signed up for 'fun'.

Probably true, but Nevermore made it clear the consequences of not obeying the rule.

In accordance with the new rule in place regarding the use of foot stools, players caught using them will have stiff punishments dished out. As such, the accounts of those featured in the screenshots have been barred from events for a significant period of time. Additionally, a best effort has been made to revoke any reward reaped by direct violations of the rules. Unfortunately, we cannot compensate anyone else for not being rewarded as a result of the use of foot stools.

In the future, if you see a player who is cheating in a Survival Game by using foot stools, take a screenshot and PM it to one of us. From there, we'll take care of things.

Cheaters never win!

This may seem snide, but how do you know those photographs were not photoshopped? If the the direction of staff involvement is tending towards policing published photos of other users, I could see that leading to trouble. Granted there are several forum members complaining of the matter, and acting as witnesses for the most part, what is to stop a group of knaves from doing the same?

Who is to say that tomorrow, Guardianknight, Darkwing, and Kelektra, don't band together and testify to a falsified photograph of Sandro using stools in the duel arena?

i think another question is, why is using items to win survival game cheating at all
if a mechanic is broke fix the mechanic, dont blame the players for using them to win games. change the game. Ultimately it will just be more work for gms to deal with all the crying of players and have to police games.

just make fast decay of items in the survival game rooms. pretty easy fix
