Regular leather armor doesnt effect your meditation rate does it?

It shouldnt, because that makes tailors basically wortheless.... cept for the no -dex for studded..... i think that should be the only change really.

But it's still not as much of an effect as mail. But still not as good as cloth.

Actually many quality fighters prefer leather armor over metal. When you have to deal with tank mages in most cases, having 17AR or so from leather is enough to cover the damage in most cases (especially if you add a close helm and/or shield.) That way you can still get spells in (recall, teleport, cure, heal, poison, bless, wall of stone, magic reflection, reactive armor, protection, etc.. all great choices)
