Except that requires UO and razor. Which means it can't be watched anywhere but the PC that plays UO :-/

Try that ping on a pentium 166mhz with 16mb of RAM to get the full scope Rose.

Dude I will throttle my pig to 800 if u need.... I'm still not gonna be able to hit on the run.

So long as the right mouse button is held down and nothing physically stops my character in his tracks, its not going to work.

The amount of packets RunUO allows you to send before receiving one back is larger than it was on OSI. With 235 ping on a horse on UOSA, you can run "full speed" on a horse, you could not do that on OSI.

Once your ping reaches an amount where the server forces you to stop, while waiting for a packet to be received, you will automatically "ready" your swing. I'm estimating on UOSA that's about 250-270 on a horse (I pinged this amount last year and would constantly be forced to stop running).

How do you think that would be applied to spinning in a circle on the same tile?

So long as I am spinning constantly, my weapon will not swing.

Spinning counts as movement. It also requires a packet to be sent and received from the server. Try pulling your network cable out of your computer, you have the ability to "move" 4 times before the client requires a response from the server. On OSI servers, for as long as I played, that number was 3.

The point is the number of packets you send before receiving one is higher on UOSA than it was on OSI. Your ping has to be higher here in order to ever pause for the full tick necessary to refresh your swing.

Clearly era-accurate.

Ok so I did another test at higher ping (300-400), this time I did a little more dancing around the target.

You will also notice the only time I hit the target was when I intentionally stopped beside it (about half way thought the video)

Same video as seen in the OP
