UO Second Age

I am new to the server. I played uo from 1998 to 2002 on the Catskills server. I was just wondering how the economy is and if the community is a good one. I have never played a free server before but I miss playing UO and was hoping to get started back up.

To answer your questions, the economy is quite stable here. We have a unique trophy/silver system (one of the very few non-era-accurate things) that works well to burn excess funds people would otherwise have just sitting around. I can tell you from my own experience that there is almost no one here with just piles of gold sitting around, it is all tied up in regs/houses/rare items.
The community here is great. The IRC channel on irc.wildirc.org #secondage is very active and there are always many people on who can help you out or join up with you for some adventuring.

group up with a nice players whenever you can. A lot of people running around are more concerned with scamming, newbie killing and griefing than purely pvp IMO as another new person from Lake Sup 99-02
