I am new here and was wondering why do my blade spirits attack me. Do I need higher fame and karma or is it something else?

Quoting from the T2A Prima Strategy Guide (page 32):

"Blade Spirits are geared to track and attack warrior types - namely, characters with high 'Tactics' and 'Parrying' skills. Similarly, Energy Vortex tracks and kills mages and other characters with high Intelligence."

I have also personally noticed that a Blade Spirit holds allegiance to no one. If it kills its target and you're the last creature around, it's coming for you next. Have a 'Dispel" ready....

I thought back in t2a it did not attack you unless you were gray or red. I mean, if it has to due with karma, I understand. Maybe I am wrong, it has been a long time.

Blade Spirits and Energy Vortexes both will attack without pregidous, although you aren't able to control these creatures, you are responsible for what they may do if you summon them.

now i might be making a complete tit out of my self, but im sure i remember blade spirits attacking anything that moves. e.g. if u stood still it completely ignored you. i just remember winding up a few friends by casting it on them and watching them run around while i just stood still..

That's interesting, but I don't think so. The trick in the era was to cast right adjacent to the mob, and it would immediately attack. It's possible that movement may have increased the likelihood of attacking though. Never heard that before.

I totally remember standing still to avoid aggro from them. The timeframe was atleast close to T2A, but I can't remember for sure.

I'm pretty sure that after I learned of this trick, I used it pretty consistently, until it was fixed.
