Here is my template in progress at the moment.
Stealing GM
Snoop GM
Hiding GM
Stealth GM
Detect hidden GM
LockPICK Gm
Magery 64
Med 36.
Two roles, stealth thief and chest picker in dungeons. Biggest concern is becoming unhidden when casting tele on chests. I dont want to lose magery so no room for remove trap.
In training snoop/stealth/hiding ect i got 100 dex very easily.
My question is with this template do i need any dex after the char is developed? Probably int would be better?
My thinking is with INT i can use more than 64 magery points to be able to cast para/para field when becoming unhidden to telekenisi chests.
So do i need dex for anything with this build.
Thanks

Re: Do theifs need dex?
Not for this template. I'm almost certain dex does not affect your success in stealing. The only reason for a thief to have dex is to be able to swing a weapon faster, which you do not need. I, for instance, only have 25 dex on my hide/stealth thief and have never had problems.
Re: Do theifs need dex?
I just hope you don't plan on killing anyone when they attack you in town and if you are going low dex if a macer hits you your stamina is going to drain quickly thus lowering your chance of escape. No spell damage where under protection of guards.
However I dabbled with a thief and have no combat skills (yet) and still find some nice treasures in peoples pockets while managing to escape undetected.
