1999 is probably closer to what we'd aim for. But yeah, I'm down. Lets do it bro.

I would play a shard that was right at the beginning of UO:R when the only thing they added was a new dungeon and weapon abilities like paralyze on spears. Back when Tamers weren't used as a punching bag by bias devs because they were tired of hearing the whining of mages.

Yep

Edit: Regarding the "on OSI" bit in the OP. Just to clarify: I play UOSA. Only.
When I answered this I meant using 1999 client on UOSA.

I like where GK went with that.
I'd do the same: JUST as UO:R started!
Oh and ofc factions (the best thing added to UO since insta-hit)

I've played on a '98 based shard before, and it was fun, but not popular. It is even more harsh than T2A.

The UO developers used to have a joke when UO came out, starship troopers had just come out as well. It goes

What does UO and Starship Troopers have in common?
..
..
..
..
..
..
They're both full of bugs.

Played a '98 emulator for about 3 weeks. Some interesting (new to me) features but kinda weird. T2A is my preferred time frame.

Nope, will only play here. If anything happens to this shard I am ragequitting video games forever.

Was action quake even in style? It went Quake -> Counterstrike. Quake II and AQ both sucked nuts.

If OSI mirrored the t2a era exactly as it was, I would try it. But I don't think this is possible and would rather play here for free than play a similar shard (maybe not as good) and have to pay. It would all really depend on what features/mechanics there were and were not.

I believe I read somewhere that OSI confirmed they have the old backup scripts (which they originally claimed were gone forever). If OSI put in the exact '99 mechanics on a classic shard, it would actually be a great thing for UOSA since it would be a wealth of information.
