mushroom blocks house placement?

I was looking forward to placing a house where I used to have one on Great Lakes back in 99. I was surprised that it wouldn't fit. I understand this shard isn't an exact replica of osi shards but I'm curious what might be blocking it. The only thing I can think of is there is a small puddle there...or perhaps it is a fern or mushroom. I was able to place over this back in the old days. Why is it different here? Thanks.

Housing placement seems weird to me as well. It seems like in some spots things are blocking that seem to not in others.

I just placed a small directly over a water puddle so I guess it doesn't block it. I also could place over a mushroom if the edge of the foundation covered it...but not if the mushroom was in the middle of the house.

For some reason this immediately made me think of this: http://www.calvin.edu/academic/cas/gpa/story2.htm

And never you mind why I know that something like that even exists.

Pretty sick, eh? The Nazi's sure knew how to indoctrinate their youth. The power of government-run schooling...
