sometimes explosion potions are doing zero damage

i've noticed this when standing next to a hidden person and not throwing it. it does no damage to me or the person hidden. won't even reveal them. this has happened to me numerous times, sometimes multiple times in a row.

The z-axis is height on a three dimensional plane. Was your target standing slightly higher or lower than you?

i don't know. i don't think this was the case every time. one was right next to the siding of a small house. i remember cuz i really wanted this guy dead and he was able to heal and get away. this has happened to me a few times. it got so frustrating i stood on top of the guy and let about 4 potions go... ******no damage to me or the other player.***** i don't know how this z axis stuff would account for that

I've noticed this also. My case is a little different but there was no way the exp pot was not on the same z axis as my target. Though I thought being guard whacked was the reason for mine dealing no dmg. I was throwing them at an npc in a shop and never saw any dmg being done. The ground was completely flat and I tried 3 different times. All ended in guards pwning me.

Earlier I had an explosion pot that I didn't even throw, and it didn't damage myself.
