All you need is a good ping and learn how to hally spam like most mages do, you'll be able to beat top pvpers in no time once u get the hally spam down.

Did I mention it's all about hally spam? Just don't miss a hally hit or you'll get behind in mana. If you want fair fights avoid tourneys and enclosed "duel areas" like the plague. They are in favor of hally spammers and make the fight more luck-based.

If you're on the field and some idiot hally spams you the whole fight and you're low on mana, just recall. Make them look like an idiot, then come back when you have mana to go at them again. Repeat.

PVP is mostly luck unfortunately because of this hally spam craze we have on this server.

Back in the real t2a era people would meditate more often but that's not how UOSA is. People on this server have no clue how to play a mage.

The pvp community here is small, that's why lol. The reason people win isn't so much "skill" as it is ping and luck.

Not saying it aint possible to have hally spam pvp down to a science, but who would want to? It's still luck-based and boring.

It takes even top duelers forever to kill sub-par pvpers because they rely on a 50%-to-hit chance. The same subpar pvpers I kill in literally a minute or less average because I have more mana to the whole fight generally and I use it to time spells/combos for the instant-kill.

I would hope that my voice can be heard and pvpers will agree they should be meditating more often. That's what the pvp scene here needs, there's hardly field pvp so we're stuck joining tournaments. I'd rather have fun while pvping and not HAVE to copy my opponent because I'm forced to hally spam as much as he does or I'll lose the mana war.

That's the main reason I stick to the field. Anytime I fight a hally spammer and get stuck with low mana I'll just recall. It's the perfect counter and keeps me from dying because of luck.

I bet that's why most hally spammers only join tourneys, otherwise they would never be able to kill anyone cause hally spamming is "kill over time". Quite different from 1999 pvp, when everyone was big on instant-killing?

I am concerned about the pvp on this shard, it used to be vibrant when our mechanics were somewhat worse(before cast-equip and when we had to "stop" to hally cycle. Those were better times.

On the field I believe PVP is more balanced. People can hally spam but it can be countered by mages who want to get some mana. I just run in circles meditating and avoiding their excessive hally hits as if I'm fighting a dexer..because that's basically what hally spam mages are more like. A hybrid-sort of mage/dexer.

Mounts help a lot IMO. And not being in a box let's people run in full circles too. Can't catch the gingerbread man!

Avoiding using your hally and buring through all your mana mini healing is a poor, ineffective strategy psilo.. If you don't like using effective strategies for t2a mage pvp maybe you should play something else for pvp.

Lol moron, this isn't like actual t2a mage pvp. In 1998-1999 the hally wasn't able to be exploited. Duels didn't have so much luck.

I am not talking about my fights with nightshark, clearly I lost those because because of massive desync and lagg. I do what I can and he played well enough, he ping was owning me that I almost thought it was Sandro.

PVP in general right now is more luck-based. Mage pvp was never as luck-based as dexers. Now it's closer than ever. Most of the damage done in a mage fight is from the 50% chance to hit hally swing. That's all wrong, that aint a mage fight. Seriously, more meditation please.

whats funny is the advice you try to give players on the forums, you do the exact opposite of that ingame..

ive watched you spam mini heal and burn through 90 mana on several occasions, and then blame the system for being luck based b/c you're terrible..

you actually gave up mid-duel last night against nightshark b/c u casted literally, like 40 small heals and dried yourself of mana, then forfeit and blamed it on ping and desync

I was having desyncing and ping issues for all the fights, I gave up on the 5th one because even when I got nightshark to 0 hp I couldn't finish him because he was juking my character so badly. All you gotta do is watch my character run to see, are you blind lol?

You got me within kill shot range once within 5 fights. I got you within kill shot range at least 20 times. And you bring up the ONE time you got me within kill shot range. Wow. You lose because you have zero strategy and constantly try to randomly release explosion ebolt/double ebolt. Those combos simply do not work against any player with an idea of how PvP works.

You will never insta kill any of those players you mentioned. You run out of mana because you do "random dumps" and spam mini heal. There were so many times I'd cast an ebolt when you're at less than 50% and you'd just keep casting those minis. Get some strategy.

edit: Any time you'd like to fight me when you're not lagging/desyncing, I'm game. I really don't enjoy walking all over someone and having to listen to all the excuses under the sun. That's what Bongy does.
