It's probably a temp, maybe for all caps or flooding, or maybe your were afk and disconnected and reconnected over and over until you were temp banned for it.

Its probably from playing from the ip you're already banned from, mr brand new player...

Does it give you a link with the ban msg? I got banned before because the pc I was using had some virus that irc didn't like

If this was the case wouldn't it kick him from IRC period .. not just a Banned from room msg.
