UO Second Age

Hi,

I've playing (macroing) on this shard for a month, and this is great. Hally hit works great, and there are many players online.

Also I like a lot no decaying accounts due to unnactivity.


I've started pvping (finished my standard 7x tank mage, swords with 100 25 100) and here is my question:

- I have seen mages with 100 35 90. How does it affect to wep delay ciclying? Do you medit faster with 100 int than with 90? Hit faster with 35 dex than 25?

Congrats again to derrick for this great shard, I played OSI from 99 to 2003, then dfi, ua-sphere... and this seems to be the right one

(btw, why is so hard to get a damn hair restyle deed! I used to have short white hair and made myself bald, and now i cant get a restyle! this is not era accuracy! era accuracy = new player tickets = 20k per retyle! )

With 25 dex you can swing every 2 harms, with 35 you can swing every harm. Makes a difference in duels but not fielding.

do u medit slower with 90 int?

always been this way? would be fixed? I think this is not era acc

and i dont want to drop int to 90 and then have to raise up to 100 again hehe

Yes, you meditate slower... 90 INT 100 Med should be about 95% as fast as with 100 INT 100 Med. I believe it's just a straight addition.

This is accurate from what I remember..

used to double MA --> hally hit so this sounds right

After 1 hour testing in test center, still not decided if keep 100 25 100 or switch to 100 35 90.

I have succesfully "An Mani" + hally hit x4 times to a summoned cow (with 0 tactics so I don't kill it ), but is certain I can rearm for hit faster with 35 dex.

I think is due to the stam, not the dex, so 35 would be good since "Uus Jux" and lose stam.


I know it depends on how I play, but this char is mainly for pvp and dueling. Any suggestion?

Does ppl use razor macros for calculating rearming time based on current stam?

Everything that is based on dex is actually based on stam, thats why virtually all duels are either infinite food (tournys) or RED POTS ONLY.

Its also a standard tactic to immediately debuff your opponent with weaken, clumsy and feeblemind so most of your fights will be at your base stats -10 each.

I think double hit was patched out.

25 dex vs 35 doesnt make a huge difference imo

to me it only makes much of a difference when you're clumsied. having 15 dex and then taking a small amount of stamina loss, is devastating. 35 gives you a lot more room and you don't have to constantly drink red pots.

i've beaten the shard's best using a 25 dex character and it was not played differently to the way i would've played 35. it's just more prone to error.

Are you serious, or are you and panthor trying to give this guy bad advice?

This is some of the worse advice I've ever seen. How can it not make a difference in fielding?

This isn't a grudge against you two, but you both are just talking out of your asses right now. You should make it clear that this is all your personal (whether it's horrible or not) opinion when guiding a new pvper on the shard.

well panthors kinda right. in field fights on mounts when peeople are running all over the place and can juke you easier, its unlikely you'll be swinging every 2.5 seconds, let alone every 2 seconds. pretty much means you've got 10 less int for no real benefit.

Duels and field fights are always won with the hally timer.

yes, that doesnt mean you're swinging every 2.5 secs exactly with 25 dex or every 2 seconds exactly with 35. unless the guy you're fighting is standing still and letting you hit him in the face, that isnt going to happen. chances are it will be 3 seconds + in between every swing regardless of your dex, so what benefit would being able to swing at 2 secs instead of 2.5 give you in that situation?

It means you can, and it's a possibility, people get caught inbetween casting, throws their own timer off......it effects fielding a lot.
