UO Second Age

Is this a possible feature to incorporate to the shard?

I see no downside nor a reason why not to:

Hybrid, not to mention names, (*hybrid sucks)..has a unique poker feature that brought people together to gamble.

Texas holdem is a people orientated game, to add tables in every tavern in every city in Sosoria is a good idea.

It would cause player interaction, rivalries, possibly a website related feature, etc.

Player ran poker events are great, but they do not happen frequently.

Say it is 2 AM and one hour to a CTF tournament. It would give players another reason to stay logged on.

If they did not want to farm, pk, stand in gy waiting for people to turn grey, etc.

What are your thoughts? pros? and cons?

Please keep discussion civil and topic related.

NEA. plus, from what ive experienced, adding poker tables isn't a great idea.

Why an event? Why not all the time?

I suggested a similar proposal some time back. The response made much sense. Essentially, anything that detracts from something the players can provide, detracts from player initiative to provide events and the feel of a free shard.

The gold won would be from other players.

then the best solution would be a player run system anyways.

You know you can play real poker online? with real life money?

you can also kill people with swords but its fun to do it in uo

If anywhere it should be placed outside any guardzones.
A wild west feel would be appropriate.

Player ran establishments...it's been done before here.

I don't like it because it entices players to play poker... not UO.
