Castle on Grass - auction

Post by Mikel123 »

Yes that's right, a castle on grass.

Castle is located south of the Trinsic moongate.

It features a full set of footstool stairs and bridges, neatly arranged. It also features a bridge to the next door tower, which I will give to you for a tower deed (i.e., free) upon winning this castle.

The courtyard is about as secure as you can get. Previous owner/refreshers (Arcott Ramathorn, Theograd) may still have runes but are pretty stand-up guys and you don't have to worry about them (each of them literally gave the castle back to me, free, upon my returns to the game). Any other courtyard runes would have to have been marked before I placed the castle, which seems unlikely since it's somehow placed over a circle of stones in the southeast turret (I joke it's the only "improperly placed" castle on the shard). I will re-mark or destroy all courtyard runes I have.

You will also have whatever is left inside... I make no promises, but there is likely to be some full kegs, a rune library with those cool blue weathermap runebooks in front of it, probably 100k bandages, tons of weapons of daemon's breath, ghoul's touch, etc. And a bunch of random holiday gift bags.

Rules:
- I reserve the right not to sell.
- I will accept private bids until I wake up the morning of New Year's Day. I will then post the highest bid here as soon as the buzz wears off. All bids from then on must be public, in this thread.
- There will be no brokers used in the transaction. At a time we both agree to, you will meet me at a bank to give me the agreed-upon price. I will then gate us to the outside of the castle and I will transfer you the castle.
- Opening bid is castle deed + small deed.

Please feel free to post any questions about the castle, or to bid publicly/privately until the new year (then, only public bids).

Please keep posts limited to questions about the castle or bids for it.

At first I didn't want to use a broker because I didn't feel like it, and I feel like my reputation over the past couple years was well good enough to merit it. Then I realized, it might even provide a nice price break to someone who knows I am trustworthy. With that said, opening bid has been lowered to castle deed + small deed.

Just confirming that I do not have a rune to the courtyard. I destroyed it when I gave the castle away to Arcott.

Thanks Theograd.

Guys, you miss the point. The point is: if you don't trust me after all of the time and effort I have put into being honest, trustworthy and helpful to this shard, then I am perfectly happy that you're not interested.

Someone is going to get a good deal on this castle, and it's going to be in large part because they recognize what I have done, how I have acted, and the quality of my character. And that is exactly the type of person I want to sell it to.

and what about ppl that are just "back" after a longer time of inactivity.
i dont know you, i dont know anyboby on that shard execpt a few ppl i still cant remember because i spent time with them.
so your reputation is unknown to me. thats why i would prefer a broker like Blackfoot (one of the guys i can remember).

got my point?

Mink... I don't care what you prefer. It is my auction. We will do what I prefer.

Please limit posts to bids or questions about the castle.

Roadkill is high bidder.

What time and effort? What have you done to earn the trust of PoD? Nothing at this point!!! So allow a broker.

No broker = no bid. Plz let me know when you're really ready to sell.
The years passed, mankind became stupider at a frightening rate. Some had hoped that genetic engineering would correct this trend in evolution, but sadly the greatest minds and resources where focused on conquering hair loss and prolonging erections.

If I had the motivation to liquify some of my assets I'd be all over this. Mike is a very trustworthy guy and I would have no issues with his terms.
