Is there some kind of trick to this, as sometimes it seems easy enough, and other times I cannot seem to get them to stick. I have a tower for example, and I can hang a painting in one of the larger rooms, but if I try to hang a painting (the same one even) in the identical spot in the other large room, no dice. I have a large painting that I cannot seem to hang anywhere in the tower, but I previously had it on the back wall of a small without an issue...
It looks like others have managed to hang these wherever they want, so just wondering if there is a trick to it?
Trick to hanging paintings?

I've noticed the best way to do these types of things is to record a macro of dropping an item in a certain direction.
Then you pick up the item, hit your hotkey to do that macro and voila its in the right spot.

reocrding the macros and converting the lien to - relative location-
it will tell you how it drop relatives to how it looks
its a great tool to learn how certain objects behave when moving them around
