UO Second Age

My friend is having a lot of trouble with this, and he's about to quit playing.
I referred him here to look at some posts (he looked and said none helped)

Any idea what could help him out? It worked fine for a few days..

What is his client version?

I knew someone who ran OSI client patcher and tried to go on a shard.. basically same deal (fail). Have him re-download a client (Preferably T2A) and only use the patch the install comes with.

Alright, just for some clarification, I am said friend and here is the situation:

1. Razor client is completely updated
2. The version of UO installed is the one taken from the torrent link recommended here: http://forum.uosecondage.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=496#p
3. When installing UO, I used the patch included in the above download to patch to Version 5.0.8.3
4. Server is set to "uosecondage.com"
5. Port is 2593
6. Patch client encryption is checked, Use OSI encryption is unchecked.
7. I also used UO Auto Map.
8. Everything listed above worked fine for a couple of weeks. Then, about 3-4 days ago, I began having this problem.

Here is what I have tried:
1. Verifying all settings (ie. server, port, patch client encryption checked, use osi encryption unchecked, version, etc.)
2. Uninstalling everything (including Razor and UO Auto Map), deleted everything related to UO from the registry, restarted computer, and reinstalled everything as stated in the above listing. I have tried this multiple times.
3. Creating a new account. Same problem, stuck at verifying account screen.

Only thing I can think of that might be noteworthy, other than what is listed above, is I was on my friends boat when I logged off last and there is a folder titled "UO" in my Ultima Online directory that, though it shows it does not contain anything, will not let me delete it. I get an access is denied message.

That is very strange...just woke up, but as an internet tech I would throw this in as a ticket and keep troubleshooting as you have already tried all the basic concepts and as stated you are not running vista (complete garbage).

Have you had any problems with any other programs by chance? If all else fails wipe and reload FTL!

Nope, no other problems.
By some crazy stroke of luck or what, I don't know, this is actually the first problem I've had with this computer in the 3 or so years I've had it.
And, yeah, I was thinking about just wiping it all and starting over.....such a pain in the ass....

Alright now it gets past account verification, but then I get the error "Error (MegaCliloe) : StringId Not Found : 3000035".... any suggestions?

Just as a note, I am running on UO Gold (downloaded the free trial, link below). I am not sure what I am missing by running this client and version, or what I will miss in the future, but I seem to be able to do everything.

Also, I completely patched up using the uo patcher (I ran the uo patch icon in the directory to do this). I am running on patch 6.0.6.1 Patch 79.

Maybe others can say what I don't or will not have access to. But everything I have wanted to do, I have been able with what appears no problems.

Using the latest client leaves possibility of getting stuck in map areas which might be different, but which have not been brought to our attention.

It could be the DL that you used via bit torren or whatever is broken. I used an old ML box that costed like 5 bucks just so I didnt have to spend hours DLing anything.
