While I am upset at this recent demotion, I understand that here in cA, there is a bigger picture than just ourselves. My demotion will better the guild as a whole, and help in us making the transition to the future. I welcome my new boss Ian with open arms and a hearty bottle of fortified wine.

This is the part where i would usually say something overly righteous and condemn someone or other...but that would be hypocritical.
