Are reg prices the same across all cities?

What's the fastest way to start amassing regs? Buy up a vendor or do player-vendors have some line on cheaper regs?

Yes, except mandrake root which is 1gp cheaper at alchemist's shops.

Also, be sure to join the NPC mages guild to get the discount.

Drop 500gp on an NPC Mage Guildmaster.

Gets you 1gp off some of the regs - There's a % discount applied but it rounds down (up? It's late) so the cheapest regs don't actually get any cheaper.

The 500gp is a one off payment (per character).

I believe you say "join" to the NPC Mage Guild Master, THEN drop the 500gps.
