Citizens of Britannia get ready for the K^A Iron Man Triathlon! No Entry Fee Event!

Triathlons usually consist of a swimming stage, biking stage, and finish with a running stage of the race. This triathlon will be styled according to UO. Since there is no swimming here in UO, the first stage will be a boat race, and since there are no bikes, the second stage will be on horseback.

The race will begin in Ocllo and end in Britain. A race map with some instructions will be provided to you once you register for the race. Please register by sending me a PM here on the Forums, and provide the character's name you will be racing with. Registration will close Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at 9 pm EST.

Items Provided:
Each participant will receive a race uniform, and pouch with some food, refresh potions, and a small amount of certain reagents, and a sextant.

Items participants must bring:
Boat and horse

Basic Rules:
- Contestants may not kill other contestants.
- No Recalling/Gating (automatic DQ)
- Must pass visibly and alive by the way points. (there might even be refreshing treats at these way points)
- Must arrive alive at the end of each stage (Must be on your boat and on your horse at the end of those stages)
- If you die your race is over.
- No bringing other pets besides horses. (No nightmares, ostards, or frenzied ostards)
- Participants Bring nothing else besides the items listed.

Prizes will go to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. They will be released at a later date.

This was a great idea, props to liquid. However, Piruh I heard not many people attended. Bad timing? I hope to see an event like this again in the future. It sounded like great fun, and I would have liked to have participated.

Not to sound like a jerk, but if there are only 2 events, this is a Biathalon.

Triathalons have 3 events.

there was three stages. Liquid was just stating the replacements for the swim and bioke stage. As players can run in UO there was no need to use an alternate style of said stage
